Our History

Owners Steve and Cathy Klein, both Howard County residents, founded River Hill Garden Center in 1992.  Starting out as purely a nursery, garden center, and landscaping operation to serve the ever expanding Clarksville community.  River Hill Garden Center soon expanded to include an extensive gift/collectibles center and a huge greenhouse.  At holiday time the glittering Christmas shop, filled with the sights, sounds, and scents of the holidays, is a not-to-be missed family destination.

Both locally grown residents themselves, and long time community activist, you can imagine they are also big supporters of buying local.  Year over year they buy from local growers and product suppliers to support the community.  Many of the local vendors are listed on our site.  We highly encourage you to check it out.
